SSL TLS SMTP setup and configuration issues - Need input ~Chloe Nonkiplopikle 19.Mar.03 04:50 AM a Web browser Domino Server All ReleasesAll Platforms
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the response. I have read your responses and posts and I seem to have as many, although some has been archived.
I agree totally with you on IBM’s stance here. I have had a ticket out for months as well. I think this issue needs to be escalated.
I will pay good money to anybody that claims they have TLS working. Let me be more specific, TLS working on Lotus Domino 6 encrypting sessions to servers other than Domino. Ah heck, it does not even work Domino to Domino.
I agree that using Exchange is the only answer. Why does nobody raise this as an issue? Does nobody use TLS?
IBM dogmatically clings to standards that just suit themselves while we now have to go and justify damn Exchange servers to perform the simplest of tasks.
Please forum, any assistance on TLS would be appreciated. We are not talking noddy bits of information as Mark and I have both spent enormous amounts of time on this. Our failures are specific to the stage where STARTTLS is negotiated and keys are exchanged. We need to trace that information or find out why that is crashing out. What are the damn error messages and what do they really mean? Need input!
